Every business has a beginning.
For Brooklyn Girl Bath Co., this Pop-Up Block Party was my very first vendor event. I packed up my handcrafted products, set up my table, and stepped into a room full of people who had never heard of my brand before.
It was exciting, a little nerve-wracking, and exactly the experience I needed.
My First Time Sharing the Brand
Brooklyn Girl Bath Co. was built around the idea that every scent tells a story. Inspired by the neighborhoods, memories, and culture of Brooklyn, I wanted people to experience more than a body butter or candle. I wanted them to feel connected to something real.
This event gave me the opportunity to introduce those stories face-to-face.
Lessons From My First Pop-Up
My first event taught me things I couldn’t have learned from behind a computer screen.
I learned:
- People love to smell products before they buy.
- Customers ask thoughtful questions about ingredients, scent notes, and the inspiration behind each collection.
- Your brand story matters just as much as the products themselves.
- Confidence grows with every conversation.
Every interaction helped me become a better business owner.
More Than Just Sales
This event wasn’t only about making sales. It was about building relationships, meeting other small business owners, and seeing Brooklyn Girl Bath Co. outside of my workspace for the very first time.
Watching people stop, smile, sample products, and connect with the brand reminded me why I started this journey.
Looking Ahead
This first pop-up gave me the confidence to continue saying yes to new opportunities. Since then, Brooklyn Girl Bath Co. has continued growing through additional vendor events, new collections, and customers who believe in what I’m building.
Every event since this one has built on the foundation that started here.
This wasn’t just my first pop-up.
It was the first chapter of Brooklyn Girl Bath Co.’s story.
